In late October 2008, the Philadelphia Phillies did the impossible and won the World Series. A few days prior, I told my day job at the time I was taking the day off and going to the parade, no matter what was going on. I caught the last train that made it out of Wilmington to Philadelphia. By 10 AM SEPTA had shut down due to traffic overload. After the main parade passed, the crowd spilled into the streets.
